Perfectly judged qualifier (or lucky as hell..)

Updated: with photos from my runner profile at WorldOfO.

Today I qualified for the WOC long final.. by the skin of my teeth.
I finished 15th place in heat 1, just 16 seconds ahead of Louise Oram from Canada.
If you are being kind, like my parents or Petter Thoresen you might say that I was in the toughest heat.
But if you are being honest like our coach Toni you would say "you made really stupid mistakes on really easy controls... and then you pulled yourself together".

Fair.

I enjoyed it, it was exciting and I even giggled at the control guard who had wriggled into a tiny rocky pit beside one of the controls. I made some attempt to sprint for the line, good job I did. I didn't really enjoy the wait to see if I would qualify and I felt bad for those who had just missed out (been there).

Long final is Wednesday and I will be the first or one of the first to see the course! :-)
